Role Overview – Woodlem Park School, Al Qusais is hiring a Transport Officer for an immediate full-time, on-site role. This position is ideal for organized, communicative transport coordination professionals with a valid UAE driving license who can efficiently manage school transportation operations, coordinate with staff and parents, and handle daily transport-related matters with professionalism and care.
Transport Coordination and Management – You will oversee and coordinate all school transportation activities by managing bus routes, scheduling pick-up and drop-off times, ensuring vehicle availability, coordinating with bus drivers and supervisors, and maintaining smooth daily transportation operations for students.
Route Planning and Optimization – You will plan and optimize school bus routes by assessing student locations, balancing route efficiency, minimizing travel time, and ensuring safe, timely, and convenient transportation services that meet the needs of students and parents.
Driver and Staff Coordination – You will coordinate with school bus drivers, transport staff, and supervisors by conducting daily briefings, communicating schedule changes, monitoring performance, and ensuring all transport personnel adhere to safety protocols and school policies.
Parent and Staff Communication – You will communicate effectively with parents and school staff by responding to transport inquiries, providing route information, addressing concerns, sending timely updates on delays or changes, and maintaining positive relationships that support trust and satisfaction.
Daily Grievance Handling – You will handle daily grievances related to transport by listening to parent and staff concerns, investigating issues, providing timely resolutions, escalating matters when necessary, and ensuring all transport-related complaints are addressed professionally and promptly.
Safety and Compliance Oversight – You will ensure safety and compliance by monitoring vehicle maintenance schedules, verifying that all buses meet RTA safety standards, ensuring drivers hold valid licenses and permits, and maintaining adherence to school safety policies and UAE transport regulations.
Documentation and Record Keeping – You will maintain accurate transport records by documenting routes, student lists, incident reports, vehicle maintenance logs, and daily operations data, ensuring all records are organized and available for audits and reporting purposes.
Emergency Response and Problem-Solving – You will respond to transport emergencies or operational disruptions by coordinating alternative arrangements, communicating with affected parties, and resolving issues quickly to minimize impact on students and school operations.
Valid UAE Driving License (Mandatory) – A valid UAE driving license is mandatory. You must be legally authorized to drive in the UAE and may be required to operate school vehicles when necessary.
Transport Coordination Experience (Mandatory) – Proven experience in transport coordination, preferably in a school or educational environment, is mandatory. Your background should demonstrate the ability to manage logistics, schedules, and multi-stakeholder coordination effectively.
Communication Skills (Mandatory) – The ability to communicate effectively with staff and parents is mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a professional demeanor are essential for building trust and managing expectations in a school environment.
Transport Arrangement Efficiency (Mandatory) – Efficiency in arranging school transportation is mandatory. You should be confident planning routes, coordinating schedules, and managing daily operations to ensure reliable and timely student transport services.
Grievance Handling Capability (Mandatory) – The capability to handle daily grievances related to transport is mandatory. You must be able to listen actively, resolve complaints professionally, and maintain positive relationships even in challenging situations.
Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills – Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential for managing complex transport schedules, responding to emergencies, and ensuring smooth operations across all aspects of school transportation.
