Job Description

Telephone Operator Role: The Telephone Operator will act as the communication hub of the hotel, handling all incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism, accuracy, and courtesy. This role is critical in ensuring smooth communication between guests, departments, and external contacts.

Call Management: The operator will manage high volumes of calls, directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel efficiently. Handling wake-up calls, guest inquiries, and special requests promptly will be essential for maintaining a high level of service.

Guest Interaction: The operator will be responsible for addressing guest needs via phone, providing accurate information about hotel services, and ensuring requests are logged and forwarded to the correct department. A courteous and polite tone is mandatory in every interaction.

Internal Coordination: This role requires constant communication with front office, housekeeping, engineering, and other hotel departments to ensure guest requests are followed up and resolved on time. The operator serves as a bridge between guests and internal teams.

Problem-Solving: The operator must handle complaints or emergency calls calmly and efficiently. Whether it’s assisting a guest in distress or relaying urgent information, quick thinking and effective communication are vital.

Technical Operations: The role involves operating the hotel’s telephone and communication systems, ensuring functionality and reporting any technical issues. Familiarity with PBX systems and hotel communication tools is an added advantage.
