Job Description
Finance Operations Leadership:
The Team Lead – Finance will oversee daily finance operations at the JAFZA corporate office, ensuring all financial activities are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in line with company policies. You will supervise team members, allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure seamless cash management and financial reporting across all divisions.
Treasury and Cash Flow Oversight:
You will manage treasury functions including cash flow planning, fund allocation, and liquidity monitoring to support operational and business needs. This role requires proactive monitoring of inflows and outflows, maintaining optimal cash positions, and ensuring timely arrangement of funds to support procurement, payments, and business commitments.
Trade Finance and Banking Coordination:
The role involves handling trade finance activities such as trust receipts, letters of credit, bill discounting, and bank facility documentation. You will coordinate closely with banks, manage facility renewals, prepare quarterly submissions, and ensure compliance with financial covenants. Strong understanding of trade finance instruments is crucial for smooth business operations.
Accounting Controls and Compliance:
You will oversee accounting entries, reconcile bank statements, monitor month-end closing, and ensure all transactions adhere to accounting standards and internal controls. This includes verifying supporting documents, reviewing reconciliations, ensuring statutory payments such as VAT and utility settlements are completed on time, and maintaining compliance with JAFZA regulations.
Receivables and Financial Reporting:
This position requires coordinating receivables follow-up, generating ageing reports, and supporting financial planning through accurate cash projections. You will assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial submissions, work with auditors, and provide banks with updated financial information to maintain strong corporate credit standing.
Insurance and Risk Management:
You will manage the organization’s insurance portfolio, ensuring timely renewals, coverage updates, and claim processing. This role requires close coordination with insurance providers, maintaining documentation, and ensuring all divisions remain fully covered against operational and commercial risks.
