Role Overview: The Teacher of Psychology at Al Jazeera Academy will be responsible for delivering thought-provoking and engaging lessons that explore human behavior, cognition, and emotional development. You will guide students in understanding psychological theories, research methods, and real-world applications, inspiring them to think critically about the factors that influence the human mind and behavior.

Key Responsibilities: You will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and international academic standards. Your role will include preparing teaching materials, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback to support academic progress. You will also mentor students preparing for Psychology-related examinations or research projects.

Curriculum Delivery: You will design lessons covering a broad range of topics, such as developmental psychology, cognitive processes, personality theories, social influence, and abnormal psychology. Incorporating case studies, experiments, and interactive discussions will be central to your teaching approach, making the subject relatable and impactful.

Student Development: Beyond academic instruction, you will help students develop empathy, analytical skills, and an appreciation for diversity in human experiences. Encouraging debates, role-play activities, and collaborative projects will enable students to connect theory to everyday life and understand the ethical responsibilities of psychological practice.

Collaboration & Communication: You will work closely with colleagues in the Humanities and Science departments to create interdisciplinary projects linking Psychology with Sociology, Biology, and Health Sciences. Regular communication with parents will ensure transparency regarding student progress and strategies for improvement. You may also lead workshops or awareness sessions on mental health and wellbeing.

Professional Standards: Maintaining professional integrity, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring respect for confidentiality in student matters will be essential. You will keep accurate academic records, stay informed on advancements in psychological research, and participate in professional development to enhance your teaching practice.
