Role Overview: The Teacher of Humanities at Al Jazeera Academy will inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the human experience, past and present, through subjects such as History, Geography, and Social Studies. This role requires a teacher who can bring complex ideas to life, encouraging critical thinking, research skills, and a passion for learning about cultures, societies, and the world around us.

Key Responsibilities: You will design and deliver lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and international standards, ensuring content is engaging, relevant, and challenging. Your responsibilities will include preparing lesson plans, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback. You will also foster a classroom environment where respectful debate and discussion are encouraged, and diverse perspectives are valued.

Curriculum Delivery: Lessons will be designed to integrate historical analysis, geographical inquiry, and social understanding, supported by innovative teaching tools and resources. You will be expected to incorporate technology, project-based learning, and cross-curricular links to make Humanities subjects more interactive and impactful.

Student Development: The role goes beyond delivering facts — it involves helping students develop empathy, ethical reasoning, and the ability to connect past events to present-day issues. Through fieldwork, debates, and collaborative projects, you will inspire students to think critically about the world and their role as global citizens.

Collaboration & Communication: Regular collaboration with colleagues in other departments will ensure a well-rounded educational experience for students. You will work closely with parents to share progress updates and provide guidance on how they can support learning at home. Participation in school trips, competitions, and cultural events will also be part of your role.
