Role Overview – Al Rabat Building Contracting is hiring a Site Civil Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced civil engineers with strong technical expertise, construction site management capabilities, and the ability to supervise construction activities, ensure quality compliance, coordinate with stakeholders, and deliver successful project execution within a building contracting and construction environment.

Site Supervision and Construction Management – You will supervise site and manage construction by overseeing daily civil construction activities, monitoring construction progress and schedules, supervising subcontractors and workers, ensuring work quality and compliance with drawings and specifications, coordinating construction sequences, managing site resources and equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient construction execution.

Technical Design Review and Engineering Support – You will review technical designs and provide engineering support by reviewing architectural and structural drawings, identifying design issues and clashes, coordinating with consultants on technical queries, preparing shop drawings and method statements, providing technical solutions to construction challenges, supporting value engineering initiatives, and ensuring constructability and design compliance.

Quality Control and Assurance – You will manage quality control and assurance by implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and testing (concrete, soil, materials), reviewing material submittals and certifications, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards, coordinating third-party testing and inspections, documenting quality records, and maintaining high-quality construction standards.

Project Planning and Scheduling – You will support project planning and scheduling by coordinating with project managers on construction schedules, monitoring progress against project plans, identifying delays and critical path activities, coordinating resource allocation, updating progress reports, implementing recovery plans when needed, and supporting on-time project delivery.

Civil Works Execution and Coordination – You will execute and coordinate civil works by overseeing excavation and earthworks, managing foundation and structural works, coordinating concrete pouring and curing, supervising block work and masonry, managing MEP coordination and services installation, overseeing finishing works, and ensuring comprehensive civil construction execution.

Site Surveying and Setting Out – You will conduct site surveying and setting out by performing site surveys and measurements, setting out building levels and grid lines, verifying site dimensions and elevations, coordinating with surveyors, using surveying equipment (total station, level), ensuring accurate construction layout, and maintaining dimensional accuracy throughout construction.
