Job Overview: We are hiring a Senior Procurement Engineer for a prestigious long-term construction project based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The ideal candidate must bring a minimum of 6 to 7 years of relevant experience in procurement, specifically within the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-scale infrastructure project while gaining exposure to international best practices.
Key Responsibilities: The Senior Procurement Engineer will manage the complete procurement lifecycle for construction-related materials, services, and equipment. Responsibilities include identifying reliable vendors, issuing RFQs, evaluating supplier offers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the site. The selected individual will also ensure compliance with company policies and project specifications.
Vendor Management & Negotiation: You will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring high-quality materials and services are procured at competitive prices. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential to finalize contracts and agreements aligned with project goals and timelines.
Coordination with Stakeholders: The role requires regular coordination with project engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers to understand material requirements, lead times, and delivery schedules. You will work closely with the finance department to manage purchase orders, invoices, and payment schedules.
Technical Documentation: This role also involves reviewing technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings to ensure procurement accuracy. You'll be responsible for preparing procurement reports, maintaining procurement logs, and keeping documentation organized for audits or future references.
