Job Description
The Senior Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest arrival experience by warmly welcoming guests and efficiently completing registration procedures in accordance with Four Seasons standards and established credit policies. This role ensures a refined first impression while supporting junior front desk colleagues through leadership and guidance.
The position oversees room management and coordinates VIP arrivals, ensuring room blocks, upgrades, and special handling requests are executed accurately. Working closely with internal departments, the Senior Receptionist ensures personalized service delivery and smooth arrival experiences during high-occupancy periods.
A key responsibility includes supervising and coordinating luggage handling with the Concierge team, ensuring guest belongings are delivered promptly, securely, and with the highest level of care while maintaining seamless front desk operations.
The Senior Receptionist manages guest check-out procedures, oversees foreign currency exchange, and ensures cash handling processes remain accurate, balanced, and fully compliant with hotel financial controls and audit requirements.
In the absence of dedicated reservations personnel, the role requires advanced knowledge of room rates, availability, and promotions to manage reservations, modify bookings, and maximize guest satisfaction while supporting revenue objectives.
Handling guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism, discretion, and empathy is a core responsibility. The Senior Receptionist takes ownership of complex service issues, ensuring timely resolution and safeguarding the hotel’s reputation for excellence.
The role may include performing and supervising night audit procedures when scheduled, ensuring accurate reporting, operational continuity, and effective communication between shifts within the 24-hour front office function.
