Job Description

Role Overview – The Saleh Group, LLC is hiring a Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site role in the UAE. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong UAE accounting experience, proficiency in Tally and other accounting software, and the ability to manage daily accounts, financial reporting, and comprehensive financial records within a facilities management and cleaning services environment.

General Ledger and Financial Transactions – You will manage the general ledger by recording and posting financial transactions, maintaining the chart of accounts, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards and company policies.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management – You will manage accounts payable and receivables by processing supplier invoices, verifying payment accuracy, tracking customer payments, following up on outstanding receivables, managing aging reports, and ensuring timely settlement of all financial obligations.

Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow Management – You will perform regular bank reconciliations by matching bank statements with company records, investigating discrepancies, resolving variances, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate tracking of all banking transactions across company accounts.

Financial Reporting and Analysis – You will prepare comprehensive financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements by consolidating financial data, conducting variance analysis, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to management to support informed financial decision-making.

Month-End and Year-End Close – You will manage month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all transactions are recorded, preparing accruals and adjustments, reconciling balance sheet accounts, closing periods in accounting systems, and meeting reporting deadlines in accordance with company financial calendars.

VAT and Tax Compliance – You will handle VAT and tax compliance by maintaining VAT records, preparing VAT returns, ensuring invoices comply with UAE VAT regulations, coordinating with tax consultants and auditors, and supporting the company during tax audits or government inspections.

Budgeting and Cost Control – You will support budgeting and cost control initiatives by monitoring departmental expenses, comparing actual performance against budgets, analyzing variances, providing financial insights, and working with department heads to implement cost-saving measures and improve financial efficiency.

Payroll Support and Employee Expenses – You will support payroll processing and employee expense management by verifying payroll data, coordinating with HR on salary processing, managing employee reimbursements, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits.

Audit Coordination and Compliance – You will coordinate with internal and external auditors by preparing required documentation, responding to audit queries, facilitating audit processes, implementing recommendations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

Tally and Accounting Software Management – You will use Tally and other accounting software systems by recording transactions, generating financial reports, maintaining accurate financial data, and ensuring all systems are updated efficiently to support financial operations and reporting requirements.

Daily Accounts and Record Management – You will handle daily accounting activities by processing invoices, recording payments, managing petty cash, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring all financial records are complete, organized, and readily available for management review and audits.

Cross-Functional Coordination – You will coordinate with internal departments including operations, procurement, HR, and management by providing financial information, clarifying account details, supporting financial planning, and ensuring alignment between accounting activities and business operations.

Senior Accountant Experience (Mandatory) – Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Accountant, or in a similar senior accounting role is mandatory. Your background should demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with financial transactions and reporting, and the ability to work independently in a structured accounting environment.

UAE Experience (Mandatory) – UAE accounting experience is mandatory. You must have prior work experience managing accounting operations in the UAE and be familiar with UAE VAT regulations, local accounting practices, and compliance requirements.

Tally Proficiency (Mandatory) – Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Tally accounting software is mandatory. You should be proficient in using Tally for transaction processing, financial reporting, inventory management, and VAT compliance.

Accounting Software Proficiency – Experience with other accounting software and ERP systems (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) is required. Strong Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and data management are essential.

VAT and Tax Knowledge – Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, tax compliance, and VAT return preparation is required. Experience managing VAT-related transactions, documentation, and submissions is essential.

Financial Reporting and Analysis Skills – Strong financial reporting and analytical skills are required. You should be capable of preparing accurate financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and providing meaningful insights to management.

Attention to Detail and Accuracy – Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy are critical for processing financial transactions, maintaining records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring error-free reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Communication and Coordination Skills – Good communication and coordination skills are essential for liaising with vendors, internal teams, external auditors, and management, and for presenting financial information clearly and professionally.

Facilities Management/Cleaning Services Experience (Preferred) – Experience in the facilities management, cleaning services, or contracting sector is a plus. Familiarity with project-based accounting, labor cost management, and contract revenue recognition will be advantageous.

Indian Nationality (Preferred) – Indian nationality is preferred for this role.
