Job Description
Role Overview – Galaxy Solution is seeking an experienced Sales Executive in the building materials sector to drive sales and develop new business opportunities. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in building materials sales, a valid UAE driving license, and willingness to travel. This role is ideal for sales professionals who can promote building materials, build customer relationships, and expand market reach.
Building Materials Sales and Promotion – You will sell and promote building materials including construction materials, cement, sand, aggregates, steel, blocks, tiles, plumbing materials, electrical supplies, paints, waterproofing products, and other construction-related products. You will present product features and benefits, demonstrate product applications, provide technical information, recommend suitable materials for customer projects, and achieve sales targets.
Customer Visits and Field Sales – You will visit customers at construction sites, contractor offices, project locations, warehouses, and client premises. You will conduct face-to-face meetings, present product catalogs, discuss project requirements, provide quotations, demonstrate products when applicable, and engage customers directly to generate sales and build relationships.
Order Taking and Processing – You will take customer orders accurately, verify order details including quantities, specifications, delivery requirements, and pricing. You will process orders efficiently, coordinate with operations on order fulfillment, provide order confirmations to customers, track order status, and ensure customer orders are completed satisfactorily.
Payment Follow-Up and Collection – You will follow up on payments by tracking outstanding invoices, contacting customers for payment reminders, coordinating with finance on payment status, collecting payments when applicable, negotiating payment terms, resolving payment issues, and ensuring timely collection of receivables to support healthy cash flow.
Customer Relationship Management – You will build and maintain strong customer relationships with contractors, builders, construction companies, architects, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders in the construction industry. You will understand customer needs, provide responsive service, address concerns promptly, maintain regular contact, and develop long-term partnerships that generate repeat business.
Warehouse Coordination – You will coordinate with the warehouse for material availability and deliveries by verifying stock levels before quoting to customers, coordinating order picking and packing, scheduling deliveries according to customer requirements, tracking delivery status, resolving delivery issues, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining communication between customers and warehouse teams.
New Customer Acquisition – You will identify new customers and expand market reach by prospecting potential clients in the construction sector, conducting market research, identifying construction projects and opportunities, cold calling prospects, networking at construction sites and industry events, converting leads into customers, and continuously growing the customer base.
Market Expansion and Territory Coverage – You will expand market reach by covering assigned territory systematically, identifying new market segments, exploring untapped areas, introducing products to new customer groups, developing distribution channels, and maximizing sales opportunities across the region.
Product Knowledge and Technical Support – You will maintain comprehensive knowledge of building materials including product specifications, applications, technical characteristics, quality standards, pricing, availability, and competitive positioning. You will provide technical guidance to customers, recommend appropriate materials for specific applications, and support customers with product selection.
Quotation Preparation – You will prepare quotations and price proposals for customers, calculate material quantities based on project requirements, apply appropriate pricing, present competitive quotations, negotiate pricing within authorized limits, finalize terms and conditions, and close sales effectively.
