Job Description
Role Overview – SMSA Express is seeking experienced Sales Executives from the logistics industry with a strong client portfolio and proven business development skills. This position is ideal for logistics sales professionals who can leverage existing relationships, develop new business, and drive revenue growth, with immediate joiners preferred.
Client Acquisition and Business Development – You will identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics sector by prospecting potential clients, conducting market research, initiating sales outreach, presenting SMSA Express services, and converting prospects into active customers. Your business development efforts drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Client Portfolio Management – You will leverage your strong existing client portfolio to generate immediate business opportunities, maintain relationships with current clients, cross-sell additional services, ensure client satisfaction, and maximize revenue from your established network within the logistics industry.
Solution Selling – You will understand client logistics requirements and present tailored solutions that address their shipping, freight, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain needs. Your consultative selling approach positions SMSA Express as a valuable logistics partner rather than simply a service provider.
Proposal and Quotation Preparation – You will prepare proposals, quotations, and service agreements that clearly articulate service offerings, pricing, terms and conditions, and value propositions. Your proposals should be compelling, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.
Sales Target Achievement – You will work toward achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals through consistent prospecting, effective selling, client retention, and strategic account growth. Your performance directly impacts company revenue and your own compensation.
Market Intelligence – You will gather market intelligence including competitor activities, pricing trends, customer needs, industry developments, and emerging opportunities. This intelligence informs sales strategies and helps SMSA Express maintain competitive positioning.
Relationship Building – You will build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in client organizations, understanding their business challenges, demonstrating value, earning trust, and positioning yourself as a reliable logistics partner they can depend on.
CRM and Reporting – You will maintain accurate records in CRM systems, track sales activities, pipeline status, client interactions, and provide regular sales reports to management. Proper documentation supports sales management and forecasting.
Logistics Industry Experience – Experience from the logistics industry is mandatory. You should understand logistics services including freight forwarding, express delivery, warehousing, distribution, supply chain solutions, and the business dynamics of the logistics sector.
