Job Overview: The Procurement Coordinator serves as a key link in the supply chain operations of Emirates Reem Investments Company PJSC. This role is responsible for supporting the procurement function within the FMCG and bottled water manufacturing sector, particularly for Jeema Mineral Water. The coordinator will ensure that materials, equipment, and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively, contributing directly to the company’s operational success and overall profitability.
Role Objective: The main purpose of this position is to maintain a seamless purchasing process while aligning procurement strategies with company objectives. The coordinator will be expected to develop and manage vendor relationships, ensure timely deliveries, and uphold company policies related to quality and compliance. This role also plays an important part in optimizing resources and identifying potential areas for cost savings.
Key Responsibilities: The Procurement Coordinator will oversee all purchasing activities, from sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts to managing purchase orders and ensuring proper documentation. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining supplier databases, coordinating logistics with internal departments, and ensuring every procurement decision meets operational deadlines and budgetary limits.
Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation: A critical component of this role involves identifying new suppliers, evaluating competitive quotes, and negotiating favorable terms that support the organization’s cost-efficiency goals. The coordinator will also analyze market conditions, monitor material availability, and establish supplier performance benchmarks to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
