Role Overview: Rushmore American School is hiring a caring, committed, and dynamic Part-Time Homeroom Teacher to nurture a positive and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will work on Mondays and Tuesdays, ensuring engaging classroom experiences that inspire students’ curiosity and foster academic excellence.

Teaching and Learning: The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing lessons in alignment with the school’s curriculum. The candidate will support students’ holistic development and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.

Classroom Environment: The teacher will cultivate a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, responsibility, and collaboration. The goal is to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and active participation among students, contributing to their emotional and social well-being.

Student and Parent Relationships: Building strong and positive relationships with both students and families will be key to the role. The teacher will maintain open lines of communication, regularly sharing updates on academic progress and personal development while fostering trust and partnership between home and school.

Curriculum and Collaboration: The Homeroom Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to ensure the delivery of a cohesive and enriching learning experience. Collaboration with other educators to share resources, strategies, and best practices will be encouraged.

Qualifications and Requirements: The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood, or Primary Education, along with a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or QTS. A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required, and the applicant must currently be on their own visa in the UAE.
