Job Description

Music Instruction and Classroom Management: As a Music Teacher at Woodlem Park School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective music lessons to students across various age groups. You will foster a love for music while ensuring students understand both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. By maintaining a disciplined and creative classroom environment, you will help nurture students’ artistic expression and confidence.

Curriculum Planning and Lesson Design: You will design lesson plans aligned with the school’s academic goals and the Ministry of Education standards. Your role will include developing instructional materials that integrate music theory, rhythm, melody, and harmony. You’ll also plan activities that promote teamwork through group performances and encourage individual creativity in composing and improvising.

Instrumental Training and Performance: Proficiency in instruments such as the keyboard and guitar is essential for this role. You will teach students proper techniques, help them develop their instrumental skills, and organize practice sessions. In addition, you’ll guide students in preparing for recitals, assemblies, and cultural events, ensuring that every performance reflects the school’s commitment to excellence in the performing arts.

Student Evaluation and Feedback: Regular assessment of students’ progress will form a key part of your responsibilities. You will design evaluations to measure technical skills, musical knowledge, and performance abilities. Providing constructive feedback and individualized support will help each student reach their full potential and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

Collaboration and School Events: You will collaborate with fellow teachers and the school administration to organize concerts, talent shows, and inter-school music competitions. Your creativity will help enhance school events, making them memorable and educational for students and parents alike. Strong coordination skills and a collaborative mindset will be vital for this role.
