Role Overview – Canadian Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced Management Information Systems Analyst  to support business operations through financial analysis, reporting, and performance insights to improve profitability and efficiency in a healthcare setting. Healthcare experience is mandatory for this position. This role is ideal for Management Information Systems Analyst  professionals who can analyze operational data, prepare forecasts and dashboards, and support hospital financial and performance management.

Financial and Operational Data Analysis – You will analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement areas by examining revenue streams, cost structures, departmental performance, productivity metrics, resource utilization, patient volumes, billing data, and other operational indicators. You will conduct in-depth analysis, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.

Forecasting and Budgeting – You will prepare forecasts and budgets by analyzing historical data, projecting future revenues and expenses, developing financial models, creating budget scenarios, coordinating with departments on budget inputs, preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis, and supporting comprehensive financial planning that guides hospital operations.

Dashboard and KPI Development – You will design and prepare dashboards and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports for hospital management including creating visual dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other reporting tools, tracking clinical and financial KPIs, monitoring bed occupancy rates, average length of stay (ALOS), patient satisfaction scores, revenue per patient, cost per procedure, and other healthcare metrics, and presenting data in clear, actionable formats.

Financial Process Improvement – You will improve financial processes and reporting systems by identifying inefficiencies in current workflows, recommending process enhancements, automating manual reporting tasks, streamlining data collection and analysis, implementing best practices, enhancing reporting accuracy and timeliness, and continuously improving Management Information Systems Analyst  capabilities that support hospital management.
