Job Description

Role Overview – Gulfa is hiring a Logistics Supervisor with 3 to 7 years of experience for our Water Manufacturing FMCG operations in the UAE. This position is ideal for logistics professionals who can manage drivers and delivery teams, optimize route planning, monitor fleet performance, and ensure on-time delivery to customers in the fast-paced FMCG beverage sector.

Driver and Delivery Team Management – You will manage drivers and delivery teams, overseeing their daily activities, performance, attendance, and professional conduct. Your team management includes scheduling driver assignments, providing guidance and training, addressing performance issues, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and creating a motivated, accountable delivery team that consistently meets service standards.

Route Planning and Scheduling – You will handle route planning and daily delivery scheduling to optimize delivery efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure timely service. Your planning responsibilities include analyzing delivery locations, designing efficient routes, balancing workload across drivers, accommodating priority deliveries, and adjusting schedules based on traffic, weather, or customer requirements.

Fleet Movement Monitoring – You will monitor fleet movement and trip performance using tracking systems, GPS technology, and reporting tools. Your monitoring ensures visibility into vehicle locations, identifies delays or deviations, enables proactive issue resolution, and provides data for performance analysis and continuous improvement.

On-Time Delivery Assurance – You will ensure on-time delivery to customers by coordinating logistics activities, managing schedules effectively, resolving delivery obstacles, and maintaining communication with customers and internal teams. Your focus on punctuality supports customer satisfaction and strengthens business relationships.

Documentation Management – You will handle PODs (Proof of Delivery), trip sheets, and dispatch documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping, proper verification of deliveries, organized filing systems, and documentation that supports billing, customer service, and audit requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination – You will coordinate with warehouse, sales, and production teams to ensure seamless logistics operations. Effective coordination involves aligning delivery schedules with production output, communicating inventory availability, supporting sales commitments, and ensuring logistics activities support overall business objectives.

Vehicle Maintenance and Safety Compliance – You will ensure vehicle maintenance and compliance with safety policies by scheduling preventive maintenance, monitoring vehicle condition, ensuring regulatory compliance, enforcing safety standards, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining a fleet that operates reliably and safely.

Performance Optimization – You will analyze logistics performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, implement efficiency enhancements, reduce costs where possible, and continuously optimize delivery operations to support business growth and profitability.

Logistics Experience – 3 to 7 years of logistics or distribution experience is required. Your experience should demonstrate progressive responsibility in managing delivery operations, understanding logistics workflows, and successfully coordinating distribution activities in commercial environments.

Driver and Vehicle Management – Experience managing drivers and delivery vehicles is essential. You should have proven ability to supervise driver teams, manage vehicle fleets, ensure compliance, maintain standards, and optimize the performance of both personnel and physical assets.

FMCG/Beverage Sector Knowledge – Knowledge of the FMCG or beverage sector is preferred. Understanding the unique requirements of fast-moving consumer goods distribution, including short shelf life, high volume, frequent deliveries, and customer service expectations, will help you excel in this water manufacturing environment.

Communication Skills – Strong communication skills are crucial for coordinating with drivers, warehouse staff, sales teams, production personnel, and customers. You should communicate clearly, provide effective instructions, resolve conflicts, and ensure information flows smoothly across all stakeholders.

Leadership Skills – Strong leadership skills are essential for managing delivery teams, enforcing standards, motivating performance, making decisions under pressure, and creating accountability that drives consistent operational excellence.
