Role Overview – ISD Dubai Sports City is hiring a Junior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. This position is ideal for early-career accounting professionals with foundational accounting knowledge, sports facility industry familiarity, and the ability to support accounting operations effectively, maintain financial records, process sports facility transactions, assist with reporting, and develop accounting expertise within a dynamic sports facility management business environment.

General Ledger Support – You will assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions under supervision, ensuring accurate classification of accounts, and supporting monthly reconciliation processes. You will verify transaction postings, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the general ledger balances with supporting documentation. You will learn accounting for sports facility operations and membership revenue.

Membership Revenue Recording – You will assist with membership revenue accounting by processing membership payments, recording revenue appropriately, and maintaining membership records. You will coordinate with membership departments regarding revenue, track membership transactions, and support accurate revenue recognition. You will understand sports facility membership models and revenue tracking.

Facility Fee and Event Revenue – You will assist with facility and event revenue accounting by recording facility fees, tracking event-related income, and maintaining revenue documentation. You will process payments for facility rentals, event fees, and other facility services. You will support sports facility revenue analysis.

Accounts Receivable Processing – You will assist with accounts receivable by processing member invoices, recording payments, and maintaining member account records. You will follow up on outstanding invoices, prepare aging reports, and support collections efforts. You will coordinate with members regarding billing inquiries and payment status.

Accounts Payable Support – You will assist with accounts payable operations by processing supplier invoices, verifying accuracy against purchase orders, and preparing payment schedules. You will maintain vendor records, organize invoices, and support the payment approval workflow. You will manage payments to sports facility suppliers and service providers.

Invoice Processing and Organization – You will process incoming and outgoing invoices by verifying completeness, organizing documentation, and ensuring proper filing. You will maintain accurate invoice records for members and suppliers. You will support invoice-related inquiries and manage invoice aging appropriately.
