Job Description

 The Hub Handler / Package Handler role at FedEx is a hands-on operational position that supports both air and ground logistics activities within hub and station environments. This role is critical to ensuring the timely, safe, and accurate movement of shipments while upholding FedEx’s high standards of operational excellence and customer service.


The position supports hub and ramp operations by assisting with aircraft handling, vehicle loading and unloading, and coordination of ground activities. Employees are required to follow strict safety guidelines and operational procedures to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure logistics flow at all times.


A core responsibility of the role includes scanning, sorting, and handling packages with precision and care. The Hub Handler ensures shipments are correctly processed, tracked, and routed to their next destination while maintaining accuracy, speed, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.


The role also contributes to broader logistics and support services, including ancillary operations, payment industry logistics support, and assistance with location-based shipment tracking and reporting. These functions help ensure operational continuity across multiple service areas.


In addition, the Hub Handler supports basic administrative duties when required and assists with security screening procedures. Compliance with internal security policies, safety regulations, and applicable legal standards is an essential part of this role.


Strong teamwork and collaboration are vital, as the position requires working closely with colleagues across hub operations, drivers, supervisors, and management. Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive mindset are key to meeting daily operational targets and maintaining service excellence.
