Job Description
In oil and gas shutdown projects, safety is not a department. It is the culture. It is the toolbox talk before a shift, the hazard identification before a task, and the vigilance that ensures every worker goes home at the end of the day. Seagull International LLP, a government-approved overseas recruitment agency operating since 1985, is urgently hiring 30 HSE Officers for shutdown projects in Qatar. This is a role for safety professionals who understand that in a high-risk environment, prevention is not optional. It is the job.
This is a role for someone with at least five years of HSE experience, including three or more years in GCC oil and gas shutdown projects. You will ensure workplace health and safety compliance across shutdown project sites, conducting safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments. You will enforce safety protocols, maintain safety records, support incident reporting, and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings. You will hold a NEBOSH IGC certification issued before 2022, which is mandatory for this role. If you are a proactive safety professional with shutdown experience and a commitment to protecting people, this role will suit you.
The ideal candidate has a NEBOSH IGC (issued before 2022) and five or more years of HSE experience, with at least three years in GCC oil and gas shutdown projects. You have proven experience in safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessment. You are comfortable working in high-pressure project environments and can communicate safety requirements clearly to workers at all levels.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Qatar. The salary range is QAR 4,000 to QAR 5,000 per month, with free food and accommodation provided.
Salary:
QAR 4,000 – 5,000 per month + Free Food & Accommodation
To apply:
Send your updated CV and documents to kp.nandhana@seagullhr.com
When you apply, take a moment to make your application stand out. Highlight your NEBOSH IGC certification prominently, including the date of issue, because the requirement for certification issued before 2022 is mandatory and the hiring team will screen for it immediately. In your cover letter, describe your specific experience in GCC oil and gas shutdown projects, including the types of facilities you have worked on and the safety challenges you have managed, because this context is essential for the role. If you have experience delivering toolbox talks or conducting safety audits, mention that clearly. Finally, confirm your availability to join and your willingness to work on-site in Qatar, as these are practical requirements. Please note that Seagull International does not charge any fees for recruitment, so if anyone contacts you requesting payment, do not engage and report it to the agency directly.
Feel free to share this opportunity with anyone in your network who might be a strong fit.
