Job Description

 The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for welcoming guests upon arrival and completing the registration process efficiently while strictly adhering to Four Seasons service standards and established credit policies. This role ensures every guest receives a warm, polished, and memorable first impression that reflects the hotel’s luxury positioning.


The position manages room allocations for arriving guests by coordinating room blocks, confirming accurate assignments, and handling special requests to ensure a smooth and seamless check-in experience, especially during peak operational periods.


The receptionist supports VIP guest arrivals by assisting with escort arrangements when required and working closely with the Concierge team to coordinate luggage handling, ensuring guest belongings are managed with care, discretion, and efficiency.


Processing guest check-outs is a core responsibility of the role, including handling foreign currency exchange and maintaining an accurate, balanced cash bank in full compliance with hotel financial controls, audit standards, and internal procedures.


The Front Desk Receptionist maintains strong knowledge of room rates, availability, and hotel services in order to accept reservations or modify bookings when the reservations department is unavailable, ensuring continuity of service at all times.


Handling guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and discretion is a key function of the role. The receptionist ensures prompt resolution of concerns while protecting the hotel’s reputation for exceptional luxury service.


The position may include performing night audit duties when scheduled, supporting uninterrupted 24-hour front office operations through accurate reporting, system updates, and clear shift handovers.


Throughout all duties, the receptionist consistently upholds Four Seasons standards, confidentiality policies, grooming requirements, and service excellence while working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
