Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Shop Engineer for a long-term construction project located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, quality assurance, and shop floor management to contribute to one of the region's largest industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities: As a Fabrication Shop Engineer, your role will include overseeing day-to-day shop activities, managing fabrication schedules, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You’ll play a central role in bridging design and execution, ensuring accurate and timely fabrication of steel components.

Shop Floor Management: You will be responsible for organizing the flow of materials, manpower, and machine utilization to ensure smooth operations. Tracking job progress, managing shop floor discipline, and maintaining documentation will be among your core tasks. Your presence will be required during inspections and welding/fitting operations.

Quality Assurance & Control: You will ensure all fabricated components meet the specified codes and client standards. Collaborating with the quality team and third-party inspectors, you will conduct checks for dimensional accuracy, weld integrity, and proper finishes. Any non-compliance must be addressed with corrective action plans.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, welding symbols, tolerances, and codes such as ASME, AWS, and ISO is essential. You'll be required to interpret engineering designs accurately and guide the workforce in complex assembly and welding procedures while also solving fabrication challenges on-site.

Team Collaboration: You will coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure timely delivery of components. Regular meetings with supervisors, production leads, and QA/QC personnel will be necessary to monitor KPIs and resolve bottlenecks.
