Job Description
Strategic Role in Estimation: As an Estimation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire estimation process for large-scale construction projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Your role will involve evaluating project requirements, collaborating with engineering and procurement teams, and producing accurate cost estimations that align with client expectations and company goals.
Tendering and Bid Management: You will lead the tendering process by reviewing project specifications, drawings, and contractual documents to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids. Your experience in preparing BOQs, tender documentation, and pricing strategies will directly influence the company’s ability to win profitable contracts.
Cost Analysis and Benchmarking: A core aspect of your job will be conducting detailed cost analysis and market benchmarking. This includes evaluating material and labor costs, analyzing vendor quotations, and comparing past project data to create realistic cost forecasts. Proficiency in pricing software and Excel-based models is essential.
Coordination with Project Teams: You’ll work closely with design engineers, procurement specialists, and project managers to ensure all aspects of cost estimation are aligned with technical requirements and schedules. Your ability to bridge the gap between the technical team and financial stakeholders will be crucial.
Compliance and Risk Management: You will ensure that all estimations adhere to relevant building codes, legal standards, and organizational policies. Risk identification and mitigation strategies will be part of your duties, especially in identifying potential cost escalations or hidden expenses.
Reporting and Documentation: Detailed documentation and clear communication of estimation reports will be required for both internal stakeholders and clients. You will be expected to maintain historical cost records, prepare monthly reports, and support audits if necessary.
