The primary responsibilities of this position center on preparing precise cost estimates, analyzing tender documentation, and compiling commercial proposals for building and infrastructure projects. Daily activities involve conducting quantity take-offs from structural and architectural drawings, sourcing supplier quotations, and evaluating subcontractor bids against project specifications. The Estimation Engineer will assemble detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), calculate direct and indirect construction costs, prepare tender submittals, and collaborate with procurement and project engineering teams to establish cost baselines. Additionally, the role requires tracking market prices for raw materials, supporting pre-bid clarification meetings, and compiling financial analysis reports for management review.
