Role Overview: The Environmental Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting sustainable development across power transmission and distribution projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that environmental requirements are fully integrated into project planning and execution while maintaining compliance with regulatory, client, and international standards. The role demands strong coordination skills, technical environmental knowledge, and a proactive approach to environmental risk management.

Stakeholder and Authority Coordination: This role involves direct liaison with major stakeholders such as Saudi Aramco and the Saudi Electricity Company to support Environmental Impact Assessments for ongoing and upcoming projects. The coordinator ensures smooth communication, timely submissions, and alignment with client expectations while supporting approval processes and addressing environmental queries raised by authorities.

Environmental Planning and Management: The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive Environmental and Waste Management Plans tailored to project requirements. This includes preparing environmental aspect and impact registers, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation measures that support environmentally responsible project delivery.

Compliance and Management Systems: A key responsibility of this role is ensuring adherence to environmental management systems and international standards. The coordinator manages HAZCOM programs, prepares chemical inventory reports, and supports ISO fourteen thousand one audits to ensure continuous compliance with organizational and client-specific environmental frameworks.

Site Monitoring and Environmental Control: This role requires active monitoring of site environmental conditions, including noise levels, air quality, and waste handling practices. Regular inspections and assessments help identify non-conformities early, allowing corrective actions to be implemented promptly to minimize environmental impact.

Incident Investigation and Reporting: The Environmental Coordinator investigates environmental incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and preventive actions. Lessons learned are communicated effectively across project teams to strengthen environmental awareness and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
