Commercial Executive - Break Bulk and Project Cargo: As a Commercial Executive specializing in Break Bulk, Project Cargo, and ODC (Over-Dimensional Cargo), you will play a key role in managing the commercial and operational aspects of heavy lift and specialized cargo projects. You will support the sales team in preparing quotations, coordinating with shipping lines, and ensuring smooth cargo handling from origin to destination. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with deep knowledge of freight calculation, vessel operations, and cargo documentation procedures.

Client Support and Coordination: You will act as the primary point of contact for clients managing complex cargo shipments. Your responsibilities include understanding client requirements, preparing customized shipping proposals, and coordinating with suppliers, transporters, and port authorities. Maintaining close communication with clients ensures transparency and builds long-term trust, essential for repeat business and client retention.

Rate Negotiation and Documentation: You will be involved in negotiating freight rates with carriers, agents, and vendors to ensure cost competitiveness and profitability. Additionally, you will oversee the accuracy of shipping documents, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and insurance papers, ensuring compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.

Operational Planning and Execution: In this role, you will coordinate the movement of oversized or heavy cargo by planning the most efficient and safe routes. This involves working closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure cargo readiness, arranging cranes or special equipment, and monitoring vessel schedules. Your precision and proactive approach will be crucial in avoiding delays and maintaining client satisfaction.

Market Research and Business Development: You will assist the business development team in analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and potential trade routes. By keeping track of new project opportunities in industries like oil & gas, energy, and construction, you will help the company identify and pursue profitable contracts in the break bulk and ODC cargo segment.

Financial Control and Reporting: As part of the commercial department, you will prepare cost analysis reports, monitor profit margins, and maintain billing accuracy. Your analytical skills will help optimize pricing strategies and ensure financial transparency across projects. You will also contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities to support management decision-making.
