Role Overview: The Chief Accountant will lead the finance team at Thomsun Group’s JAFZA office, overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.

Accounting & Reporting: This position requires hands-on management of general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.

Compliance & Taxation: The Chief Accountant will ensure proper handling of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory compliance obligations, including timely submissions and coordination with tax authorities.

Audit & Internal Controls: Responsibilities include leading internal and external audits, implementing strong internal controls, monitoring adherence to policies, and mitigating financial risks across operations.

Team Leadership: The role involves supervising, mentoring, and coordinating the finance & accounts team, promoting efficiency, accountability, and professional growth within the department.

ERP & Systems Management: The candidate must be proficient in ERP and accounting software to streamline processes, maintain accurate financial records, and provide actionable insights to management.
