Job Description
Project Development & Strategy: As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities within the construction sector, with a strong focus on piling and shoring works in Abu Dhabi. This role requires strategic planning to penetrate new markets and expand existing business streams. You will lead research efforts to analyze industry trends, forecast growth potential, and align company offerings with client demands to ensure continuous market presence.
Client Relationship & Acquisition: You will actively engage with potential clients, contractors, and stakeholders to build long-term business relationships. This includes preparing detailed presentations, attending meetings, and addressing client inquiries professionally. Your ability to establish trust, negotiate effectively, and provide customized solutions will directly contribute to securing high-value contracts and repeat business.
Tendering & Proposal Management: A critical part of your role involves managing tender submissions, from receiving inquiries to preparing technical and commercial proposals. You will ensure that all submissions are accurate, competitive, and delivered within deadlines. Coordinating with internal teams to gather required data, developing pricing strategies, and ensuring compliance with tender requirements will be part of your daily activities.
Documentation & Compliance: The role also requires overseeing company registrations across government and private portals such as SAP Ariba, Oracle, Jaggaer, and Maximo. You will maintain updated licenses, classification documents, practicing certificates, and other compliance requirements. Regular audits of company documentation, renewals, and regulatory alignment will be key responsibilities to maintain operational integrity.
Leadership & Team Collaboration: You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver business development initiatives. This includes mentoring junior staff, managing workloads, and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently. Effective communication, team leadership, and a proactive approach will ensure smooth coordination between different departments.
Financial & Market Analysis: Another responsibility will be to analyze project costs, profitability, and potential risks. You will prepare regular reports on financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and suggest strategies for maximizing returns. Market research will be a continuous process to identify untapped opportunities and competitive advantages.
