Job Overview: The Bookkeeper (Accountant) will play an essential role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s daily bookkeeping operations, including recording financial transactions, verifying invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, and preparing reconciliations. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of payroll, VAT submissions, and supporting month-end and year-end financial processes. The Bookkeeper will ensure that all accounting records are maintained with precision and are readily available for audits or management review.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Xero is mandatory for this position, as the company relies on the platform for most financial tracking and reporting activities. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Zoho Books will be a strong advantage, as these tools may also be used across various departments. The candidate should possess the technical expertise to generate financial reports, track expenses, and ensure that all transactions are entered accurately and efficiently within the accounting systems.

Financial Management: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for monitoring and reconciling bank statements, managing petty cash, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data across all ledgers. They will assist with budgeting and financial planning, providing timely updates to management on expenditures, profits, and other key performance indicators. Attention to financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance will be critical for success in this role.

Collaboration and Communication: This role demands effective communication skills in both Tagalog and English, as the position involves coordinating with team members, suppliers, and auditors from diverse backgrounds. The Bookkeeper will support internal teams by providing financial data when required and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met. Strong interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude will help in fostering a collaborative workplace culture.

Compliance and Reporting: The Bookkeeper must stay updated with UAE accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial reporting requirements. This includes supporting VAT returns, ensuring proper document management, and assisting with internal or external audits. The candidate should maintain the integrity of the company’s financial data while ensuring that all accounting procedures comply with company policies and local legal frameworks.
