Job Description
Role Overview: The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting operations, and assisting in financial reporting. This position is ideal for candidates who have a strong eye for detail, good numerical aptitude, and a passion for accounting.
Financial Record Management: The selected candidate will help with bookkeeping, invoice management, expense tracking, and reconciliation of accounts. You will assist in preparing journal entries, supporting documentation, and ensuring that all financial data is recorded correctly in the company’s systems.
Reporting & Analysis: The Assistant Accountant will support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities. You will prepare summary reports and assist in budget tracking, helping management maintain financial accuracy and transparency across all departments.
Audit & Compliance Support: The candidate will play a key role in assisting with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. You will also maintain supporting documents for VAT submissions and assist in general ledger reviews.
Coordination with Teams: Collaboration with procurement, HR, and administrative departments is essential to verify vendor payments, reconcile petty cash, and manage payroll-related documentation. You will also assist in vendor and client account maintenance.
