Role Overview – Port link Cargo L.L.C is hiring an Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong financial expertise, cargo and logistics industry knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting operations effectively, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain financial accuracy, process cargo-related transactions, and support organizational financial management within a dynamic maritime and cargo handling business environment.

General Ledger Management and Control – You will manage and maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions, ensuring accurate account classification, and overseeing monthly reconciliation processes. You will verify transaction postings, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the general ledger balances with supporting documentation. You will maintain accurate records for cargo operations and shipping transactions.

Accounts Receivable Management – You will manage accounts receivable by processing customer invoices, recording payments, and maintaining customer account records. You will follow up on outstanding invoices, prepare aging reports, and implement collection strategies. You will maintain accurate receivable records for cargo customers and freight forwarders.

Accounts Payable Oversight – You will oversee accounts payable operations by processing supplier invoices, verifying accuracy against purchase orders, and managing payment schedules. You will maintain vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation and approval workflows. You will manage payments to port authorities, shipping lines, and service providers.

Cargo Revenue Accounting – You will manage cargo revenue accounting by recording shipping revenue, tracking cargo transactions, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition. You will coordinate with operations regarding cargo charges, allocate revenue appropriately, and support cargo profitability analysis. You will understand cargo handling fees, freight charges, and logistics services revenue.

Shipping and Logistics Cost Tracking – You will track shipping and logistics costs by recording port charges, handling fees, transportation costs, and service expenses. You will maintain cost records for different cargo types and services. You will support accurate costing for cargo operations and service pricing.

Invoice Processing and Organization – You will process incoming and outgoing invoices by verifying completeness, organizing documentation, and ensuring proper filing. You will maintain accurate invoice records for customers and suppliers. You will support invoice-related inquiries and manage invoice aging appropriately.
