Role Overview: Waves Investments & Properties L.L.C is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting transactions, preparing reconciliations and reports, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and supporting financial control processes. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent numerical accuracy, and the ability to manage financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Accounting & Financial Records: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and accounting activities. Record and review daily transactions in accordance with established accounting procedures. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure financial records are properly organized. Review accounting entries and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Review and process supplier invoices, customer invoices, receipts, and payment records. Monitor outstanding balances and coordinate follow-ups on pending payments. Reconcile customer and supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies when required.

Bank Reconciliation & Financial Control: Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify transactions against accounting records. Investigate discrepancies and ensure necessary adjustments are properly recorded. Monitor financial transactions to support accurate cash and account management. Maintain proper documentation for reconciliations and financial controls.

Financial Reporting & Analysis|:

Prepare periodic financial reports, statements, schedules, and management reports. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Review financial information and identify variances or unusual transactions. Provide accurate financial data and reports to management when required.

Budgeting & Expense Management: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Monitor company expenses and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported. Review expenditure documentation and maintain accurate expense records. Support management in monitoring financial performance and controlling costs.

Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure accounting activities follow company policies and established financial procedures. Maintain accurate and confidential financial documentation. Support internal and external audit activities by preparing required records and supporting documents. Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable accounting and financial requirements.

Requirements: Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting and finance role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information. Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and business information. Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of UAE VAT and relevant accounting practices would be an advantage.
