Role Overview – Al Inayah Al Sahiya Pharmacy Store LLC SP is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our Finance team in Sharjah, UAE. This position is ideal for accounting professionals who can support day-to-day accounting operations, manage invoices and supplier payments, maintain VAT records, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Day-to-Day Accounting Operations – You will support day-to-day accounting operations to ensure smooth financial processes and accurate record-keeping. Your responsibilities include processing financial transactions, maintaining general ledger accounts, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, managing petty cash, and handling routine accounting tasks that support the overall financial management of the pharmacy business.
Invoice and Payment Management – You will assist with invoices and supplier payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing. This involves verifying invoice accuracy, matching purchase orders with invoices and delivery receipts, processing supplier payments according to payment terms, maintaining supplier records, and ensuring all payables are managed efficiently to maintain good supplier relationships.
VAT Records and Compliance – You will maintain comprehensive VAT records to ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. Your VAT responsibilities include recording VAT on purchases and sales, preparing VAT returns, reconciling VAT accounts, maintaining supporting documentation, and ensuring the pharmacy meets all VAT filing and payment obligations accurately and on time.
Financial Reporting Support – You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting. This collaboration involves providing necessary information for reports, assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, supporting financial statement preparation, and ensuring all financial data is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
Documentation and Record Keeping – You will maintain organized and complete financial documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Proper record-keeping supports audits, facilitates reporting, ensures compliance, and provides reliable financial information for decision-making.
Accounting Experience – 1 to 2 years of accounting experience is required, preferably in retail, pharmacy, healthcare, or similar environments. Your experience should demonstrate understanding of fundamental accounting principles, transaction processing, and financial record-keeping in a business setting.
VAT Knowledge – Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements is important. You should understand VAT treatment of transactions, return preparation, record-keeping requirements, and be able to manage VAT-related responsibilities accurately.
