Accounting Operations: The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities for the oil trading business, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with internal controls. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting operational decision-making.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: The position requires full responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, customer billing, and follow-up on outstanding balances. Close coordination with vendors and customers is essential to maintain smooth cash flow.

Financial Recording and Reporting: The Accountant will post journal entries, record daily transactions, and maintain accurate ledgers. The role supports preparation of internal financial reports and assists in the compilation of periodic financial statements in line with company policies.

Bank Reconciliation and Cash Control: Regular bank reconciliations will be performed to ensure alignment between accounting records and bank statements. The Accountant will monitor cash movements and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.

Cost Analysis and Trade Support: The role involves analyzing operational costs related to shipping and voyage activities. The Accountant will track cost components, support profitability analysis, and provide insights to management for better cost control in oil trading operations.

Tax Compliance and Audit Support: The Accountant will support VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, including calculations, documentation, and filings. The role also assists during internal and external audits by preparing schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation.
