Role Overview – Advanced Cargo & Shipping LLC is hiring a Shipping Operations Manager  for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced shipping and freight professionals with a strong understanding of cargo operations, logistics coordination, and documentation management within the UAE and broader GCC shipping landscape.

Shipping Operations Management – You will oversee day-to-day shipping operations by coordinating cargo movements, managing shipment schedules, liaising with carriers and freight partners, and ensuring all operational activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in line with client expectations and company standards.

Cargo Documentation and Compliance – You will handle all shipping documentation including bills of lading, cargo manifests, delivery orders, customs declarations, and related paperwork, ensuring full compliance with UAE customs regulations, international shipping standards, and port authority requirements.

Freight Coordination and Vendor Liaison – You will coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transport providers, and port agents by managing bookings, tracking cargo movements, following up on delays, and maintaining strong working relationships with key operational partners.

Customer Service and Client Communication – You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients by providing shipment updates, addressing queries, resolving operational issues, and ensuring a high standard of service that reflects Advanced Cargo & Shipping LLC's commitment to reliable and professional cargo solutions.

Port and Customs Coordination – You will coordinate with UAE port authorities and customs departments by managing clearance procedures, submitting required documentation, following up on approvals, and ensuring shipments are cleared and delivered within agreed timelines.

Shipment Tracking and Status Reporting – You will monitor active shipments by maintaining real-time visibility of cargo movements, updating internal tracking systems, generating status reports, and proactively communicating any delays or exceptions to clients and management.

Problem Resolution and Operational Support – You will address operational challenges by identifying and resolving shipment discrepancies, documentation errors, and logistical bottlenecks, ensuring minimal disruption to cargo flow and consistent delivery of service commitments to clients.

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration – You will work closely with internal teams including sales, finance, and customer service by sharing operational updates, supporting invoicing and billing processes, and contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
