Role Overview – Zayed University is hiring a Senior Payroll Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. This position is ideal for experienced payroll and accounting professionals with strong financial expertise, higher education sector knowledge, and the ability to manage payroll operations effectively, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee team, provide accurate processing, support organizational operations, and contribute to organizational success within a leading UAE higher education institution.

Payroll Management and Oversight – You will manage comprehensive payroll operations by overseeing payroll processing, coordinating systems, and ensuring accurate, timely payroll delivery. You will lead payroll function supporting employee satisfaction and organizational compliance. You should manage payroll operations strategically and comprehensively.

Payroll Processing and Calculations – You will process payroll by calculating salaries, benefits, deductions, and taxes accurately. You will ensure payroll accuracy and completeness. You should conduct accurate payroll processing consistently.

UAE Labor Law Compliance – You will ensure strict compliance with UAE labor law by maintaining comprehensive knowledge of regulations, implementing compliant practices, tracking regulatory changes, and maintaining compliance documentation. You will understand federal labor requirements and employer obligations. You should be expert in UAE payroll compliance.

MOHRE and Government Compliance – You will ensure compliance with Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation requirements by understanding regulations, implementing compliant processes, maintaining required documentation, and supporting audits. You should understand MOHRE requirements thoroughly.
