Anix Global is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data platforms and enterprise ETL/ELT solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer with strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica IICS, and PySpark, with hands-on experience building modern data warehouses, data lakes, and ML-ready data pipelines.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure cloud technologies, and build and optimize enterprise data warehouses and Lakehouse architectures using Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric. You will develop ingestion pipelines from multiple structured and semi-structured data sources into Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and create high-performance data transformation pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Azure Databricks. You will design dimensional data models, including Star Schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions, and Change Data Capture, build metadata-driven and reusable data engineering frameworks, and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git for automated deployment. Ensuring high data quality through validation, monitoring, schema enforcement, and pipeline auditing, collaborating with Data Science teams to prepare feature-ready datasets for AI/ML workloads, and supporting MLOps initiatives by implementing dataset versioning, feature engineering, and retraining pipelines will also form part of your remit. Optimizing SQL queries and ETL workflows for improved performance, mentoring junior engineers, and participating in architecture discussions and technical solution design round out the scope of this role.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering. You bring strong experience with Azure-based data platforms and cloud-native architectures, hands-on experience building scalable ETL/ELT solutions and enterprise data warehouses, and experience working with large-scale datasets and performance optimization. Knowledge of analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML data preparation is required, along with experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers. Exposure to retail, healthcare, financial services, insurance, or enterprise analytics projects is preferred. Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), and Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certifications are all preferred.
