Job Description

Backend Engineering Overview: As a Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Django), you will take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining robust server-side applications that power scalable digital solutions. You will be responsible for writing efficient, secure, and reusable code while ensuring optimal performance of APIs and data processing systems. Your technical expertise and problem-solving mindset will directly contribute to delivering world-class software solutions for our clients across industries.

Key Responsibilities: You will lead backend development efforts using Python and Django frameworks to build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. Collaborating with frontend engineers, DevOps teams, and product managers, you will translate business requirements into technical implementations. The role also involves debugging, optimizing queries, and maintaining clean, modular code for long-term sustainability and easy integration with other systems.

Architecture & System Design: As a senior engineer, you will participate in architectural discussions and system design decisions. You will define database structures, manage data models, and ensure seamless communication between different layers of the application. Designing for scalability, high availability, and security will be critical, as you’ll be handling large datasets and performance-critical systems used by thousands of end users.

Database & API Management: You will manage relational and non-relational databases, optimizing queries and indexing strategies to ensure peak performance. Developing secure, well-documented RESTful APIs and maintaining third-party integrations will also be part of your responsibilities. You’ll be expected to implement best practices in authentication, caching, and data handling to maintain system integrity and speed.

Code Quality & Automation: Your role will emphasize writing high-quality, testable code supported by automated testing frameworks. You’ll establish CI/CD pipelines, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers to maintain engineering standards across the backend team. Ensuring that code deployments are reliable and traceable is a fundamental part of our development workflow.

Innovation & Collaboration: We value engineers who think beyond the code. You will collaborate with diverse teams across multiple time zones, bringing innovative solutions to technical challenges. Staying updated with the latest backend technologies and contributing ideas to improve the stack will make you a key player in shaping the technical direction of ongoing and future projects.
