Role Overview – Metro Medical Group is hiring a Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Sharjah. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong financial expertise, healthcare industry knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting operations effectively, oversee medical billing, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain financial accuracy, provide financial analysis, and support organizational financial success within a dynamic healthcare and medical services business environment.

Financial Statement Preparation and Reporting – You will oversee preparation of comprehensive financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS standards and UAE regulatory requirements. You will ensure statements are accurate, complete, and prepared within required timeframes for management review, stakeholder reporting, and regulatory submission with appropriate disclosures.

General Ledger Management and Control – You will manage and maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions, ensuring accurate account classification, and overseeing monthly reconciliation processes. You will verify transaction postings, investigate discrepancies, supervise accounting staff, and ensure the general ledger balances with supporting documentation. You will maintain accuracy for medical service operations.

Healthcare Revenue Accounting – You will manage healthcare revenue accounting by recording patient service revenues, insurance claims, and medical billing appropriately. You will coordinate with billing department regarding revenue recognition, track patient payments, and support accurate revenue accounting. You should understand healthcare revenue models and medical service billing.
