Role Overview – Hogar Properties is hiring a Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong financial expertise, real estate and property sector knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting operations effectively, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain financial accuracy, provide financial analysis, and support organizational financial management within a dynamic property development and management environment.

Financial Statement Preparation and Reporting – You will prepare comprehensive financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS standards and UAE regulatory requirements. You will ensure statements are accurate, complete, and prepared within required timeframes for management review, stakeholder reporting, and regulatory submission with appropriate disclosures.

General Ledger Management and Control – You will manage and maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions, ensuring accurate classification of accounts, and overseeing monthly reconciliation processes. You will verify transaction postings, investigate discrepancies, supervise junior accounting staff, and ensure the general ledger balances with supporting documentation.

Real Estate and Property Accounting – You will manage real estate-specific accounting including property acquisition accounting, property valuations, and property-related transactions. You will allocate costs to appropriate properties, track property expenses, manage property-related accounting treatment, and support property portfolio financial reporting.

Construction Cost Accounting – You will manage construction cost accounting for development projects by tracking project costs, allocating expenses appropriately, and calculating project profitability. You will monitor construction budgets, analyze cost variances, support construction progress reporting, and coordinate with project management teams regarding financial performance.

Accounts Receivable Management – You will manage accounts receivable operations including tenant receivables, customer receivables, and project-related receivables. You will monitor payment collection, analyze aging receivables, implement collection strategies, and maintain accurate receivable records.
