Job Description
Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced QC Inspector – Mechanical to join a long-term construction project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This position is ideal for candidates who have at least 6 to 7 years of mechanical quality control experience in major construction environments. If you are detail-oriented and have strong inspection knowledge, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your international project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: As a QC Inspector – Mechanical, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical quality-related activities on-site. You will inspect materials, piping, HVAC systems, welding, and mechanical installations to ensure they meet industry standards, client requirements, and project specifications. You will also witness and verify tests and inspections, providing approvals and documentation.
Compliance & Documentation: The role requires preparing and maintaining detailed records of inspections, test plans, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). You’ll be expected to work in compliance with applicable standards such as ASME, ASTM, and project-specific QA/QC protocols. Proper documentation will be essential to maintaining transparency and traceability throughout the project.
Coordination & Reporting: You will coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure inspections are conducted timely. Regular reporting to the QA/QC Manager and client representatives is required. You will also assist during internal and external audits and ensure all quality standards are being met across the mechanical scope of work.
Inspection Tools & Techniques: Familiarity with various inspection tools, pressure testing, welding inspections (including WPS, PQR, and WPQ compliance), and alignment tools is essential. You must also be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation, including P&ID and isometric drawings.
Project Details & Benefits: This is a long-term opportunity within a major construction project in Saudi Arabia. The role is conducted onsite, with interviews being held virtually. The company offers full FAT benefits (Food, Accommodation, and Transportation), making this position suitable for expatriates seeking a stable and supportive working environment abroad.
