Job Overview: We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Planning Manager to join a prestigious construction project based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all planning activities, ensuring the project stays on schedule, and coordinating closely with project managers and engineers to maintain timelines and milestones for large-scale construction initiatives. The Planning Manager will play a central role in the success of this long-term project and will report to senior stakeholders with regular progress updates.

Project Responsibilities: As a Planning Manager, you will develop and maintain the project schedule using advanced planning and scheduling software, identifying critical paths, milestones, and potential bottlenecks. You will coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to gather data and update schedules while ensuring that all phases of the project adhere to best practices and meet contractual obligations. Additionally, you will proactively identify potential delays and recommend strategies to mitigate risks before they affect delivery.

Leadership and Collaboration: The Planning Manager will serve as a key advisor to the project leadership team, bringing strategic insights and best-in-class planning practices to the table. You will guide junior planning staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain clarity on project priorities. A strong command of earned value management, resource loading, progress measurement, and variance analysis is essential. You must be able to translate complex project data into actionable insights that drive better decision-making across the project team.

Compliance and Standards: The Planning Manager will also ensure that all planning processes follow international best practices, applicable codes, and client contractual requirements. You will maintain a focus on safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring that no critical compliance milestones are overlooked throughout the program timeline. The ability to implement robust change control processes and manage revisions is critical in this dynamic environment.
