Role Overview – Safeway Express is hiring an Operations Coordinator – Tracking in the United Arab Emirates. This position is ideal for logistics and operations professionals with strong communication skills and fluency in Arabic who can monitor shipments across air, sea, and land, coordinate with teams and customers, ensure timely updates and documentation, and handle operational issues efficiently under pressure.

Shipment Monitoring and Tracking – You will monitor shipments across air, sea, and land transportation modes to ensure they progress according to schedule and meet delivery commitments. Your tracking responsibilities include maintaining visibility of shipments throughout their journey, identifying delays or issues proactively, updating tracking systems with accurate information, and ensuring all stakeholders have real-time visibility into shipment status.

Team and Customer Coordination – You will coordinate with internal teams including operations, customs, warehousing, and transportation, as well as external customers, to ensure seamless shipment movement and communication. Effective coordination involves sharing updates, resolving queries, aligning on requirements, facilitating information flow, and ensuring all parties are informed and aligned throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Timely Updates and Communication – You will ensure timely updates are provided to customers and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status, arrival times, delays, or issues. Your communication keeps everyone informed, manages expectations, enables proactive planning, and maintains transparency that builds trust and customer satisfaction.

Documentation Management – You will manage documentation related to shipments including tracking records, proof of delivery, customs documents, and operational reports. Proper documentation ensures compliance, supports operational processes, provides audit trails, and enables effective issue resolution when needed.

Operational Issue Resolution – You will handle operational issues efficiently under pressure by identifying problems quickly, coordinating with relevant parties, implementing solutions, escalating when necessary, and ensuring shipments continue moving with minimal disruption. Your problem-solving skills are critical for maintaining service reliability.

Communication Skills – Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English are essential for coordinating with diverse stakeholders, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring clear information flow across the organization and with customers.

Problem-Solving Skills – Strong problem-solving abilities are required for identifying issues, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions that minimize disruption and maintain shipment flow.

Computer Proficiency – Proficiency with tracking systems, logistics software, and MS Office applications (particularly Excel) is important for managing shipment data, generating reports, and maintaining operational records efficiently.
