Role Overview – Al Salam Community School (ASCS) is hiring a Junior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. This position is ideal for detail-oriented accounting professionals with foundational accounting knowledge, educational sector awareness, and the desire to develop accounting expertise. You will support accounting operations, maintain financial records, process transactions, assist with school financial reporting, and build accounting skills within a dynamic educational institution environment.

General Ledger Support and Transaction Recording – You will assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions under supervision, ensuring proper account classification, and supporting monthly reconciliation processes. You will verify transaction postings, report discrepancies, and ensure general ledger accuracy for school operations. You will learn transaction recording procedures and maintain accuracy in educational accounting.

Student Fees and Tuition Receivables – You will support student fee administration by processing tuition payments, recording student receipts, and maintaining student account records. You will follow up on outstanding student fees under guidance, assist with fee collection reports, and support billing accuracy. You will maintain organized receivable records for student accounts.

Educational Supplier Invoice Processing – You will process educational supplier invoices by verifying accuracy, organizing documentation, and ensuring proper filing. You will maintain vendor records for educational suppliers, support payment processing, and organize invoice files. You will support educational materials and supply procurement accounting.
