Role Overview – GCC Exchange is hiring an IT Support Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for technically proficient IT professionals with strong troubleshooting skills, system administration experience, and the ability to provide technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, manage systems and networks, and ensure reliable technology operations within a financial services and exchange company environment.

Technical Support and Helpdesk Services – You will provide technical support and helpdesk services by responding to user requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, providing remote and on-site support, and ensuring timely resolution of IT issues to maintain employee productivity and business operations.

System Administration and Management – You will manage system administration by maintaining servers (Windows Server, Linux), managing user accounts and permissions (Active Directory), configuring system settings, monitoring system performance, implementing updates and patches, and ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operation of IT systems.

Network Administration and Support – You will provide network administration and support by managing network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, access points, VPN), monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, configuring network security, and ensuring reliable, secure network connectivity across branch locations and head office.

Hardware and Software Maintenance – You will maintain hardware and software by installing, configuring, and upgrading computers, laptops, printers, scanners, cash counting machines, UPS systems, and peripherals, managing software licenses, deploying applications, performing hardware repairs and replacements, and ensuring all IT equipment is functional and up-to-date.

Exchange Systems and Application Support – You will support exchange and financial systems by maintaining money exchange software, transaction processing systems, core banking applications, customer management systems, and other financial applications, troubleshooting application issues, coordinating with software vendors, and ensuring operational systems are available and functional.

CCTV and Security Systems Management – You will manage CCTV and security systems by maintaining surveillance cameras, DVR/NVR systems, access control systems, and security infrastructure across exchange branches, troubleshooting issues, managing recordings, coordinating with security teams, and ensuring physical security systems are operational.

Cybersecurity and Data Protection – You will implement cybersecurity and data protection measures by managing antivirus and endpoint security solutions, monitoring security threats, implementing firewalls and access controls, conducting security audits, performing regular backups, implementing disaster recovery procedures, and ensuring protection of financial data, customer information, and transaction records.
