Job Overview: The Hydraulic Mechanic will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic systems and components used in WJ Groundwater’s advanced water management equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of hydraulic mechanics, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work efficiently in field and workshop environments.
Key Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting and diagnosing hydraulic system malfunctions, replacing defective components, and ensuring optimal system performance. Regular maintenance schedules, testing of pressure systems, and adherence to safety protocols will be part of daily duties. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and site supervisors to ensure project efficiency and quality standards are met.
Technical Expertise: A strong foundation in hydraulics, fluid power systems, and mechanical repair is essential. The candidate must have experience handling pumps, valves, hoses, cylinders, and motors, as well as using hydraulic diagnostic tools. The ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics is a critical part of the job.
Work Environment: The position involves both workshop and field work, including installations, repairs, and on-site support for groundwater dewatering systems.
