Job Overview: The Foreman – Civil will be responsible for supervising and coordinating civil works on construction sites to ensure that all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings and specifications. This role requires a practical understanding of construction techniques, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage large teams of workers in dynamic project environments. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling concrete works, formwork, masonry, and structural finishing tasks across major construction projects in Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
Key Responsibilities: The position involves planning daily site activities, assigning tasks to workers, and ensuring smooth coordination with engineers and subcontractors. The Foreman will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, checking materials before use, and supervising all civil operations on site. The candidate must ensure that work meets the required standards of safety, quality, and schedule. In addition, the foreman will assist in managing equipment usage, labor productivity, and timely completion of assigned works.
Project Supervision: The Foreman – Civil will oversee all civil-related site works, including excavation, foundation, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and finishing. The candidate must monitor daily progress and ensure work aligns with project milestones. Coordination with the site engineer and project manager is essential for verifying completed work and reporting any design discrepancies or material shortages. The role demands proactive site leadership to maintain workflow continuity and minimize project delays.
Health, Safety & Environment Compliance: Safety is a top priority in this position. The Foreman must strictly enforce all HSE standards, monitor workers’ adherence to safety protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work environment. The candidate will conduct daily toolbox talks, report unsafe conditions, and ensure all workers wear proper protective equipment. Compliance with UAE HSE regulations and company safety policies is mandatory to maintain a zero-accident site culture.
Quality Assurance and Reporting: The Foreman – Civil is accountable for ensuring that all site work is completed with precision and in compliance with approved drawings and specifications. This includes conducting regular inspections, recording material usage, and maintaining detailed daily logs of work completed. The foreman must also communicate effectively with the engineering and quality control teams to ensure all works are executed as per approved standards and rectify any quality-related issues immediately.
Leadership & Team Coordination: Effective leadership and coordination are critical to success in this role. The candidate must have the ability to guide, motivate, and train workers while maintaining discipline and efficiency at the site. Strong interpersonal skills are required to communicate with workers, engineers, and management effectively. The foreman should be solution-oriented, capable of resolving on-site issues quickly, and ensuring seamless teamwork across all project activities.
