Role Overview – Hospitality Management Holding is hiring a Finance Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced finance leaders with strong hospitality finance expertise, financial management capabilities, and the ability to oversee financial operations, drive financial performance, manage budgets and forecasts, and provide strategic financial guidance within a hospitality management and hotel operations environment.
Financial Management and Oversight – You will provide comprehensive financial management and oversight by leading all finance functions across hospitality operations, managing accounting teams, overseeing financial transactions, ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial information for properties within the hospitality portfolio.
Financial Reporting and Analysis – You will prepare financial reports and analysis by consolidating financial data across multiple properties or business units, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, conducting variance analysis, analyzing revenue and profitability trends, preparing management reports, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting – You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing annual budgets for hotel operations, developing financial forecasts, coordinating budget submissions with property general managers and department heads, analyzing budget variances, revising forecasts based on business trends, and ensuring financial planning aligns with organizational objectives.
P&L Management and Profitability Analysis – You will manage P&L and analyze profitability by monitoring revenue and expenses across properties, analyzing departmental profitability (rooms, F&B, banqueting, spa), identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing revenue streams, and ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds targets.
Financial Controls and Compliance – You will establish and maintain financial controls and ensure compliance by implementing internal control procedures, conducting control reviews, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards, adhering to UAE corporate tax regulations, maintaining audit trails, and protecting company assets through robust financial controls.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management – You will manage cash flow and treasury operations by monitoring cash positions, preparing cash flow forecasts, managing working capital, coordinating banking relationships, optimizing cash utilization, managing intercompany transactions, and ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
Audit Coordination and Management – You will coordinate and manage audits by liaising with external auditors, preparing audit schedules and documentation, responding to audit queries, implementing audit recommendations, facilitating internal audits, and ensuring successful completion of statutory and operational audits.
Cost Control and Expense Management – You will drive cost control and expense management by analyzing operating expenses, identifying cost reduction opportunities, implementing cost control measures, monitoring procurement and purchasing, analyzing vendor contracts, and ensuring efficient resource utilization across hospitality operations.
Revenue Management Support – You will support revenue management by analyzing revenue performance, collaborating with revenue management teams on pricing strategies, analyzing occupancy and ADR (Average Daily Rate) trends, evaluating distribution channel costs, and providing financial insights that optimize revenue and profitability.
Team Leadership and Development – You will lead and develop the finance team by managing accountants, finance officers, and support staff, setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, providing training and mentorship, fostering professional development, and building a high-performing finance function.
ERP and Financial Systems Management – You will manage ERP and financial systems by overseeing property management systems (Opera, OnQ, or similar), accounting software, consolidation tools, ensuring system integrity, coordinating system upgrades, improving automation, and leveraging technology to enhance financial operations and reporting.
Tax Compliance and Management – You will ensure tax compliance and management by coordinating corporate tax obligations, managing VAT compliance and returns, liaising with tax consultants, ensuring compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations, and supporting tax planning and optimization strategies.
