Job Description
Overview of Role: The QS Engineer will play a pivotal role in estimating and controlling project costs. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with UAE construction standards and local regulations.
Project Involvement: You will be involved from the design phase to project completion, ensuring costs are maintained within budget without compromising quality and timelines.
BOQ and Estimations: You will prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conduct quantity take-offs, and cost planning for both residential and commercial building projects.
Contract Administration: Responsible for contract review and interpretation, managing variation orders, and liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding cost-related queries.
Cost Monitoring: Continuously monitor project budgets, analyze deviations, and recommend cost-effective solutions throughout the construction lifecycle.
Value Engineering: Propose and implement value engineering techniques to optimize cost-saving measures without affecting structural and aesthetic quality.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and progress reports. Maintain all documentation for claims and tendering processes.
