Role Overview: A prestigious semi-government company in Abu Dhabi is hiring a qualified and experienced Document Controller for a long-term position. This role is vital for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely processing of project documentation and administrative records.
Document Lifecycle Management: The Document Controller will oversee the entire lifecycle of documents, including creation, formatting, review, approval, distribution, retrieval, and secure archiving. You will ensure documentation processes are carried out with a high degree of attention to detail.
Compliance & Version Control: You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining document control registers, enforcing version control, and ensuring that all documents are tracked, updated, and accessible as per project standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordination & Communication: This position requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission, approval, and retrieval of documentation. Professionalism and timely follow-up will be critical to success.
EDMS Implementation & Oversight: You’ll manage and maintain Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and ensure digital workflows are optimized and aligned with the organization’s document control policies.
Standards & Audits: Regular compliance checks and audits will be conducted by you to ensure document integrity, consistency, and standardization. You will support the adoption of documentation templates, naming conventions, and indexing protocols.
Support & Formatting: The role also includes providing assistance in formatting, indexing, and standardizing documentation submitted by different departments. Attention to formatting accuracy and internal branding guidelines is important.
