Job Description

Role Overview – Asian Tiger Shipping LLC is hiring a Customer Service Executive for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for customer-focused professionals with strong communication skills, logistics or shipping experience, and the ability to manage customer inquiries, coordinate shipments, provide operational support, and deliver exceptional service within a dynamic freight forwarding and shipping environment.

Customer Service and Inquiry Management – You will provide comprehensive customer service by responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, addressing questions about shipments, rates, services, and documentation, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring all customer interactions reflect Asian Tiger Shipping's commitment to service excellence.

Shipment Coordination and Tracking – You will coordinate shipments and provide tracking support by processing shipping requests, coordinating with operations teams, tracking cargo movements, providing shipment status updates to customers, and ensuring timely delivery and clear communication throughout the shipping lifecycle.

Documentation and Export/Import Support – You will manage shipping documentation and provide export/import support by preparing and processing bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and other required shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international shipping regulations.

Rate Quotations and Service Information – You will provide rate quotations and service information by preparing cost estimates, explaining shipping services and routes, communicating transit times and terms, and helping customers select the most suitable shipping solutions based on their cargo, budget, and timeline requirements.

Problem Resolution and Complaint Handling – You will handle problem resolution and complaints by addressing customer concerns promptly, investigating shipment delays or discrepancies, coordinating with operations and partners to resolve issues, implementing service recovery measures, and maintaining customer satisfaction even in challenging situations.

Customer Relationship Management – You will build and maintain customer relationships by engaging with clients professionally, understanding their shipping needs, providing personalized service, following up on inquiries and shipments, and fostering long-term partnerships that drive customer loyalty and repeat business.

Coordination with Operations and Partners – You will coordinate with internal operations teams and external partners including shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and agents by communicating customer requirements, managing bookings, resolving operational issues, and ensuring seamless collaboration across the shipping supply chain.

Order Processing and System Entry – You will process customer orders and manage system entries by inputting shipment details into freight management systems, maintaining accurate records, updating shipment statuses, generating reports, and ensuring all customer and shipment data is properly documented and accessible.

Customs and Regulatory Compliance Support – You will support customs and regulatory compliance by providing customers with guidance on import/export regulations, coordinating customs clearance processes, ensuring documentation meets requirements, and liaising with customs authorities when necessary.

Invoicing and Payment Coordination – You will support invoicing and payment coordination by preparing customer invoices, coordinating with the finance team on billing matters, following up on outstanding payments, addressing billing inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial transactions related to customer shipments.

Reporting and Performance Tracking – You will prepare reports and track performance by monitoring customer service metrics (response times, resolution rates, customer satisfaction), generating shipment reports, tracking operational performance, and providing insights to management for continuous improvement.

Customer Feedback and Service Improvement – You will collect customer feedback and support service improvement initiatives by listening to customer suggestions, identifying recurring issues, communicating feedback to management, and contributing to the enhancement of service processes and customer experience.

Cross-Functional Support – You will provide cross-functional support by assisting with sales inquiries, supporting business development efforts, coordinating with marketing on customer communications, and collaborating across departments to ensure integrated service delivery.

Customer Service Experience – Prior experience as a Customer Service Executive, Customer Service Representative, Customer Coordinator, or in a similar customer-facing role is required. Your background should demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to manage diverse customer needs professionally.

Shipping/Logistics/Freight Forwarding Experience (Preferred) – Experience in the shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with sea freight, air freight, customs procedures, and international shipping operations will significantly strengthen your candidacy.

Communication Skills (Mandatory) – Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory. The ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with customers, colleagues, and external partners is essential. Proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a strong advantage.
